The stone is often called Selenite, although the two are closely related (They are both forms of Gypsum), Selenite actually grows in large clear crystal forms. Satin Spar is a very delicate stone and can easily scratch and mark even with a finger nail. Any internal cracks can be seen and are natural cracks within the stone itself. These cracks are also fragile so handle with extra care. • These are carved from natural stone so they are not a perfect shape and flawless.
