Espadán and Calderona mountain ranges PRODUCTION AREA Castellón, Alto Palancia region HEIGHT SNM 350 meters Alto Palancia has a typical Mediterranean climate, with mild temperatures stabilized by the proximity to the sea, autumnal and spring rains, and dry summers and winters. Most of Alto Palancia is located in the transition zone, with intermediate characteristics between the climate of the northern coastal plain and the inland climates in terms of rainfall (550 mm per year) and thermal (13ºC on average).
