Description
Opened in 1957, The Mackinac Bridge was a project that had been on people's minds since the late 1800's. Even Cornelius Vanderbilt, a board member of the Grand Hotel, called for the bridge to be built in 1889. A ferry service accommodated passenger and freight traffic needs across the straits through the 1940s, but eventually only bridge would do. Bureaucratic red tape and World War II stalled the progress, but on November 1, 1957 the Mackinac Bridge opened to traffic, changing Michigan forever. Vintage-inspired travel stickers like this used to adorn travel trunks and suitcases of travelers around the world. It is sure to add style to anything you stick it on. Specs * Size: 4 " x 2- 3/4" * Full color * High-quality vinyl with a protective UV-resistant laminate * Indoor/outdoor use * Easily removable, leaving no residue Origin Respectfully reproduced by Peninsulas using authentic vintage imagery.
