Description
The 1960's were a time of hope and idealism, but they definitively ended with the infamous Rolling Stones Altamont Speedway Free Festival in San Francisco on December 6, 1969. The promises of peace and love were shattered when a concert goer was killed by a member of security, who happened to belong to Hell's Angels, hired as security. Author Joel Selvin interviews medical staff, Hells Angels, the stage crew, musicians who were there, to tell the tragedy of Meredith Hunter's death and how close many other tragedies were to happening that night. (This book may contain a sharpie mark on the top or bottom edge and may show mild signs of shelfwear.)
