About Winthrop Clothing Co.

Hi there! I'm Nia-col, the person behind all things Winthrop Clothing Co. We are a AAPI woman-owned small business based in Virginia. Winthrop Clothing Co is named after my late 17 year old miniature schnauzer, Winthrop. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.F.A. in Fashion Design and pursued a fashion career in New York. I later moved back to Washington, D.C. where I started this brand. The idea was to introduce dogs to the creative and inspiring fashion I had seen in New York. With my skills, I was able to create Winthrop Clothing Co. and run everything from designing, making, and photographing the items I now sell. I adore animals and enjoy sewing. I also make each and every bow tie, bandana, and collar that you see here in my shop. I am currently a dog parent to a 14 year old black miniature schnauzer mix named Duncan.
