T.G.F.O.P. standards are considered among the fanciest Darjeeling teas. It has a delicate floral aroma and a mildly fruity flavor, with a slight astringent nip. It really has a wonderful, grounding aftertaste, with a delicious, indescribable flavor of its own. Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (T.G.F.O.P.) is FOP with a larger amount of tips. When these tips are in abundance, the terms 'Tippy and 'Golden' are attached to FOP, thus making it Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe. T.G.F.O.P. is the top grade of OP tea.
