Our coconut sugar is derived from the nectars of the coconut tree flowers in Indonesia. We carefully take the nectar and heat it in low temperatures to allow for the water to evaporate, then gently cool it to crystalize the nectar into golden-brown sugar sugars. This crystallization process allows us to keep our keep our coconut sugar unbleached and unrefinded while still retaining nutrients such as iron, zinc, calcium, and potassium. Our coconut sugar is gluten-free and contains no fillers or additives, meaning that it is both organic and non-GMO. It can be substituted for any other sugar in a 1:1 ratio and has a mild caramel flavor.
