The base is left unglazed so that you can feel the roughness of the clay and the natural material. All of our products are microwave, oven and food safe.

I was so pleased with Mariella's work--it is very carefully crafted, pleasing to hold, and has an understated beauty. It's clear that Mariella cares a lot about this craft. The match strikers are SO adorable--I know they'll sell out long before Christmas. I wish I had ordered more. Will definitely be ordering again.
