You will receive the exact gemstone shown in the photos. We have tried to capture the beautiful colour tones as best we can in a photograph. • Size: Approx 0.7cm x 1.3cm x 1.1cm • Weight: 1.3 grams, 6.7 carats Care has been taken to ensure that weights and measurements are as accurate as possible, however please do note that these are only approximate. These cabochons are cut and polished from natural Galaxy Opal. Natural inclusions, cracks and pockets are all visible and all part of the natural stone. They have no pre-drilled holes. Fire opal is well known to be sourced from Mexico and is mined in the Mexican states of Chihuahua, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Julisio, Michoacan, Queretaro and San Luis Potosi. Various Opals from Mexico contain a bluish or golden internal sheen which is known as Mexican water opal or hydrophanous opal, rather than as Mexican fire opal. Cantera opal is the common name used for fire opal that has been cut with its host rock intact.
