This exquisite handmade silk ornament depicts an emerald green moth known as Euchloron megaera, which is an endemic species in Madagascar. Our farmers use a unique sustainable harvesting technique when collecting silk cocoons so as not to diminish the local wild silk population. In fact, every purchase promotes conservation efforts of forest habitat. This ornament is a perfect holiday decoration, but can also be used as a ready-to-hang miniature artwork.
