Carved from a single block of banded green onyx, this vase holds a quiet contradiction: a soft, sea-glass ground threaded with mineral veining, interrupted on one side by a slow bloom of rust, amber, and deep umber—as if the stone caught fire somewhere in its making and cooled before it could spread. Turn it, and the piece changes its mind. One face is calm, almost translucent, the green deepening and lightening with the light. Another reveals the russet flare in full. A third settles into pale gold and stone-white drifts near the base. No two vases are exactly alike. No two views are alike, and none is the "front."
