100% Colombian whole bean decaffeinated coffee, roasted to order with notes of sugar cane. The coffee is decaffeinated using a process that combines spring water and ethyl acetate (EA) derived from sugarcane, a naturally occurring compound found in many fruits and vegetables. This process allows for gentle caffeine extraction from the bean with a washing process, avoiding excessive heat and pressure that would otherwise destructure the bean and change the cup flavor. Any residual acetate in the coffee evaporates during the roasting process. No chemicals are used in our decaffeination process.
