About Kiku Handmade | Contemporary Fused Glass Home Goods

Kiku Handmade makes colorful & contemporary fused glass coasters, serving pieces, & accessories for customers who love bold, fun designs. Artist Laurie Freivogel has been creating screen printed, fused glass home goods since 2004. Her goods are all printed by hand with bold graphics, botanical drawings, pop-culture personalities, and iconic city landmarks. After she creates her artwork, she screen prints them with glass enamels onto colorful sheet glass (made in the USA by Bullseye Glass), then fuses them in a kiln in multiple firings. Each batch is made to order by Laurie in her tiny studio just outside Chicago. Laurie specializes in custom design, and loves to work with customers to bring their ideas to life, in glass. In 2023-2024 alone, she worked with the National Archives Museum, United States Supreme Court Gift Shop, The WNDR Museum, Baltimore Museum of Art, St. Louis Museum of Art, Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum, Shedd Aquarium, plus brick and mortars, botanic gardens, and museum shops across the country. Please reach out with questions or ideas!
