Our jewelry is a high-five after a great day! And we are members of 1% For The Planet! Our founder Alix, grew up watching her mother beading semi-precious stones into beautiful jewelry. Art has always been Alix's passion as she headed off to Pratt Institute to study Art Education, graduating with a BFA and a concentration in Ceramics and Jewelry. It took many years for her to cultivate her calling for making jewelry, this was due to her struggle with "just making another product." It was when a dear friend had a pair of upcycled rubber inner tube earrings that the light bulb went on! Alix realized she could make a durable, lightweight, waterproof product that diverted the trash already being created from the landfill! She was hooked and so ABD Culture was born!Read their story
