Do not thermal shock your pottery dishware. This refers to stresses imposed by the volume changes associated with sudden shifts in temperature. Don't take a piece from extreme cold to hot or to direct open flame. Crystalline Glaze is the art of growing crystals in the glaze matrix during the firing. Expect glaze variations in color, size, placement, and number of crystals, as no two pieces are alike.
