Wholesale Design For Living: Global Contest to Rethink Our Habitat

This book documents a contest put out by the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, which they have called Design for Living which aimed to bring together people’s proposals where they rethink human habits, bringing in proposals from around the world that shape a collective view of contemporary design and architecture. This contest called for participants to provide a design proposal that related to their life, at any scale whether from bodily to societal, wherever that be in the world. This book and the contest it documents are very cosmopolitan, featuring over 190 proposals, laying out the rules they followed, with 33 members of an international jury that looks at the shifting ideas and inspirations in the world of design and architecture. (This new remainder book doesn't contain a sharpie mark, but does show signs of shelfwear.)
