Description
Uluru celebrates Australian culture with fabrics that reproduce local Aborigines artworks. Uluru is the largest single rock in the world and the second largest monolith, a sacred place for Australian Aborigines. It is located in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and its formation is thought to have started around 550 million years ago. Uluru celebrates Australian culture through fabrics that reproduce the artworks painted by native Australian communities. Each artwork is traditionally made of thousands of dots and it can takes till hundreds of hours of work to fill the background. The designs come from original paintings purchased directly from the artist with the aim of maintaining and promoting Australian Aboriginal art. Dots symbolize stars, sparks, burned land to bring back the connection of the earth with the ancestral world. This particular design is made by Tanya Price, an aboriginal designer from a family of artists from Utopia, north of Australia.
