Peacock feathers have always been loved for their beauty, but they also symbolize love and happiness and were often worn as a status symbol, especially in the ancient Chinese Empire. For Heinen Delfts Blauw, the peacock holds a special meaning. This tableware is simultaneously a tribute to our former Delft blue factory named 'De Paauw.' A pottery factory that has existed since 1651 and then produced under the name 'De Delftse Pauw.' This factory was one of the few remaining factories that continued the tradition of fully hand-painted Delft blue pottery.
