These are handmade brass or copper metal buttons, available in 2-hole style. Many sizes available: 3/8", 1/2", 9/16", 11/16", 13/16", 1" These metal buttons have been created from a sheet of metal that I have slowly patinaed to give the metal a beautiful, aged appearance. No two button’s patina will be identical. What you see pictured is a great example of what you will be sent. All images you see give you a good idea of the design variation among my buttons. These buttons have been slightly cupped to add to their functionality. All metal I use is lead free and of jeweler quality. I use no harsh commercial aging agents in my process. If not aging naturally, I use the power of vinegar and/or heat! When etching, I use an electrical current in order to etch my plates. No acid is used in this process. The etching bath I use is good for a lifetime, unlike acid that is good for one use and then is toxic. I am as green as possible in my metalworking process.
