Wholesale Pair of L'Idéal preserve jars – seafoam blown glass, wire-bail closure

Two "L'Idéal" preserving jars in sea-green blown glass, complete with their glass lids and original wire-bale closures. The inscription "L'IDÉAL" is molded in relief on the body of each jar. "L'Idéal" is an iconic French brand, created in the early 20th century by the Souchon-Neuvesel glassworks. These mechanically sealed jars equipped French kitchens for decades, from the Belle Époque to the Trente Glorieuses. Their slightly irregular blown glass has that characteristic sea-green tint of old glass, obtained by the natural presence of iron oxide in the composition. The wire closures show a uniform rusty patina, consistent with their age. The two jars have slightly different heights, about 18 cm for the taller one. The condition is good, with no chips or cracks. Placed on an old kitchen shelf or on a stone worktop, they immediately find their place, halfway between use and decoration.
