CENTERPIECE MEDALS: This is a stunning solid bronze  2.5″ tall hand-cast design depicting a part of a tryptic icon replica from the 1700s. This medal depicts The Theotokos (The God-bearer). It is a rare icon known as an Agiosortissa Pectoral. It details Our Blessed Mother Mary surrounded by the 12 apostles. Her left hand openly points to Christ, and her right holds a staff.  The Inscription: “MP-OY”  on either side of Mary’s head symbolize that she is the Mother of God. We have the original form of this medal. In its complete form, it is a Triptych that comes with two-panel doors that hinge onto the outer sides of this medal. It is stunning!!
