Like the Galileo Thermometers, people are curious about what these are. While they do tend to treat them as snow globes, that gives us a chance to explain what they are. Do they actually predict the weather? It depends on who you ask. I have noticed that the ones that we have on display tend to "coordinate" their crystal formation. Weather (spelling pun intended) you believe in their accuracy or not, they are a fascinating historical nautical curiosity! They sell fast!
