Handmade with foraged stoneware clay collected in the Sierra Nevada foothills. The glaze is composed mainly of quartz sand and wood ash, and is based on a glaze from Japan called "nuka", which turns mostly white but with a range of warm to cool depending on the firing. The cups have been scratched at the leather stage, giving the glaze lines to run down during the firing. About 4" in height.
