Description
Handmade with foraged stoneware clay collected in the Sierra Nevada foothills. The glaze is composed mainly of quartz sand and wood ash, and is based on a glaze from Japan called "nuka". The cups have been scratched at the leather stage, giving the glaze lines to run down during the firing. Soda fired, which makes for unpredictable surfaces, many of which contain visible crystals. A few have dark iron accents. About 4" in height.
