Our Arenal placemats add a touch of coastal casual to the table. Handwoven in Buenos Aires of 100% yute, we especially love the tassel detail on the edges. Jute is a fiber extracted from the stem of a Jute plant, a rain-fed crop that grows with little need for fertilizer or pesticides. Referred to as the 'golden fiber', jute is not only beautifully textured but 100% biodegradable. Catavento pieces are crafted by hand, one at a time.
