Lotus of the moon's meditation altars are handcrafted from cedarwood and created with intention to enhance your spiritual practice, or as a beautiful centerpiece to honor that which you love. All tables fold at the legs and center bars for easy storage and transportation. The triangles in the legs of the altar represent the balance created by shiva and shakti, the male and female aspects of god. The lotus carved into the stretchers represent or wishes for you to remain fully grounded in mother earth, yet always aspire toward the divine. This design is the dharma wheel. Also called the dharmachakra, the noble eightfold path is an early summary of the path to Buddhist practices leading to liberation from samsara, the painful cycle of rebirth.
