(Yes the wood actually goes through a typewriter!) The rings are made from high grade 316 grade stainless steel. This is a high grade steel that is not subject to corrosion. There is no lead in 316 grade stainless steel. Sizes 3-13 are available. These rings are typed by hand through a vintage typewriter from 1949.
