Biospirulina flakes come from sunny Greece! Biospirulina flakes are gently air-dried. Because of their strong green color and their fine spiciness, they are particularly effective on a salad. These large flakes are very popular with children. The blue-green spirulina algae can contain up to 70% protein, including phycocyanin with up to 20%. It is rich in available nutrients such as minerals iron & magnesium. It has vitamin B1, B2, B3, K and beta-carotene a vitamin A precursor (see table of ingredients). Is spirulina really that healthy? Spirulina is a freshwater algae that contains natural substances such as vitamin A, vitamin K and iron.
