Wholesale Fire Hazards

This piece is an admonishment. The stern warning is designed to remind us that we can commit to preventing violence instead of waiting to respond after it happens. Fighting injustice has never been about not doing or saying something because it offends the politically correct. It has always been about preventing violence. If we embolden abusers with our comments, our actions, our jokes, or our votes, we’re the fire hazards that start a fire. And when we learn how to not do that, we find other ways to talk, other ways to act, other ways to be funny, and other ways to vote.
