Let's change that. This workshop is for the curious flower presser who's ready to go beyond the basics. Whether you've been pressing casually for a season or experimenting with more intention, this class is designed to fill in the gaps—especially when it comes to those finicky, layered, and moisture-heavy flowers that peak right now in summer. You'll spend the evening with your hands in the flowers, working directly with presses as we walk through everything that separates a beautifully preserved bloom from one that fades, browns, or falls apart. WHAT WE'LL COVER • The tools that actually work What to use, what to skip, and how to set up your pressing kit for real results. • Timing your harvest The ideal window to pick flowers so they hold their color and form after pressing. • Preventing browning Proven techniques to keep blooms vibrant — not muddy or discolored. • Getting the best from your press Pressure, paper choices, layering, and how to troubleshoot what goes wrong. • Challenging flowers Roses, dahlias, ranunculus — the tricky ones, with techniques that actually work. • Pressed floral greeting card activity Use your freshly pressed blooms to make a simple card — a hands-on finish to the evening, yours to take home. We'll give special attention to summer flowers — including roses and other layered, high-moisture blooms that most guides gloss over. You'll leave knowing exactly how to handle what's in season right now, with the confidence to press anything. Presses will be available for all guests to use throughout the evening — come ready to get hands-on. This is a working workshop, not a lecture. We'll be pressing with Vivid Press Papers throughout the class — a professional-grade pressing paper that makes a real difference in your results.
