February’s Birth Flower is the violet, a flower that represents modesty, faithfulness and unforgettable love. Violet flowers are delicate and fragile, but also sturdy enough to withstand the cold. A gift of violets is an expression of love and devotion, a sign of hope and renewal. Violets symbolize unrequited love, innocence, modesty, faithfulness and everlasting love. During the Victorian era a gift of violets was said to be a declaration of true and loyal love. Each original drawing starts with a sketch in my sketchbook, then each piece of paper is hand torn to form the perfect size for each drawing. To add a little extra fun to each piece, small pools of watercolor are added to the paper forming fun shapes that are unique to each art work. The sketches are then transferred and hand drawn in graphite creating a series of unique drawings that are similar but each have their own individual personality. **Please note that due to the handmade quality of this product, size, color, and drawing can differ from piece to piece.
