Taper's timer runs for six hours, then turns off for eighteen hours and it requires 1 AA battery to operate (not included with purchase). Measures 4" high by .5" wide. Love these… until today. My sister bought one, put the battery in it (new one, cause I gave it to her). She did not turn it on, and was waiting for the right time so the timer would set. 15 min later she went back to the candle and it was HOT and the coating was melted off. It got so hot with just the battery ! Not good
