This vessel is innovative in design, yet pure in its form, with elements of antique China but with an overall modern look. One vase of this series was selected for "innovation competition at Maison&Objet 2022". This round version: 40cm diam, 7cm high. Made of high-end Chinese (tea) pottery, with a bronze layer fading to black. Element Accessories stands for fusion of EU and Chinese knowhow in design and production techniques. This series was designed by Chinese design talent: SUNs, winner of Red-Dot Award. The aim is to popularize a New Modern Chinese style, with a new and unique identity, “from made in to designed in China”. The OTARU series combines traditions of the Song dynasty (tiny bronze legs) with modern minimalism; production technique using high temp. resisting clay; and a mineral glaze with natural ore, skillfully kiln fired (1360°C), to achieve a natural look + feel of bronze fading to black. +1 year of R&D with experts was needed to get this result.
