The design of the Willow Beach Towel Inspired by an antique handloom weaving design, the 'Willow Weave' has been a long-standing Mungo favourite. Now we’ve taken the design to new heights, introducing three bold and brilliant beach colours: Jellyfish, Urchin and Sea Star. The Willow Beach Towel is based on a 17th-century hand weaving pattern. Tried, tested and tweaked by our Master Weaver, Stu, and reimagined into something contemporary for our looms. The Willow Weave’s characteristic checkerboard is created by an overshot technique, where the weft threads ‘float’ above the warp for a uniquely textural and decorative effect.
