The RS232 tester from System-S is a compact diagnostic tool for serial interfaces. With it you monitor data and control lines according to the RS-232 / V.24 standard and analyze communication errors between host devices and peripherals. 16 LED indicators show the status of 8 bidirectional RS-232 signals: CD (Carrier Detect), RXD (Receive Data), TXD (Transmit Data), DTR (Data Terminal Ready), DSR (Data Set Ready), RTS (Request To Send), CTS (Clear To Send) and RI (Ring Indicator). The highly visible lights are also suitable for color-blind users — you can immediately recognize the signal state without cumbersome measuring. The tester requires no external power supply and is ready to use straight away. With the standard D-Sub 9-pin plug and socket you simply insert it between your cable and the device to be tested.
