Marcô was a horse that became famous in the 1960s thanks to the work of psychiatrist Francesco D’Adamo, who used the horse as part of an innovative therapy for psychiatric patients. Marco, with his calm and patient temperament, helped patients overcome emotional and psychological disorders by establishing a bond of trust and communication. His interaction with patients promoted significant improvements in their mental condition, becoming a symbol of the therapeutic power of contact with animals.
