Organic Nutmeg is aromatic, astringent and naturally sedative. It is not a nut, it is in fact a seed. This spice can be overpowering so it is important to use it sparingly. It is often found in sweet desserts and baked goods, but can also be used as savory spice in addition to black pepper, cinnamon and cardamom. We offer the option for whole in shell, whole(no shell) or pre-ground. The shell is hard and must be broken to get to the whole nutmeg inside.
