Each plate reflects the perspective and characteristic style of the artist who designed it. Here, the artists had an opportunity to experiment with a new medium, where they could incorporate their personal signature in a different way. Between illustration and ceramics, two of the main areas that make up Águas Furtadas’s range of works, the result is a unique collection that celebrates creativity and the joy of sharing—at the table and in art. All "Pó de Barro" pieces are unique. Due to artisanal production, all products have variations in shapes, colors, and finishes. ______ About the artist: Maria Teresa Rangel—known simply as Teresa—is originally from Viana do Castelo, but lives and works in Porto. She studied Fine Arts and graduated in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto. However, Illustration spoke louder, so she crossed into that field, although she still doesn’t know where one begins and the other ends. Since then, trying to define it has been a bain-marie process.
