Set of 3 Hallux Valgus Orthotics EPITACT Usage: Contraindication: The orthotic should not be used if the big toe is no longer laterally mobile. Do not apply on damaged skin. Do not use in case of diabetes, arteritis, lower limb neuropathy, or ulcers. Description: - 1 mm of Epithelium 26®. - Joint pain and contact pain related to hallux valgus. - Realigns the big toe, relieves joint pain, and protects the "exostosis" from contact with sheets, mattresses, etc. - Patented thermoformable orthotic: mold the orthotic to your patient's foot in a few minutes. It is very comfortable as it adapts to their morphology. - Evolutive: the orthotic can be thermoformed multiple times to achieve a progressive level of correction. - Machine washable at 30°C in the provided washing net. INDICATIONS Wearing an EPITACT® corrective night orthotic daily helps correct hallux valgus deformity. It helps relieve nocturnal joint pain and eliminates contact pain. The orthotic can also be used during rest phases during the day. CONTRAINDICATIONS • Big toe not laterally mobile. • Do not use this product while walking. • Do not use on skin lesions. • Do not use in case of diabetes, arteritis, polyneuritis, neuropathy of the lower limbs, or ulcers. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE • First, check that the big toe is still laterally mobile when manipulated. If not, do not use this device. • The orthotic can be thermoformed on either the right or left foot. - THERMOFORMING: Follow the provided thermoforming instructions. The corrective night orthotic can be thermoformed multiple times. - PLACEMENT: • Pass the forefoot through the large strap. • Then slip the big toe into the small sleeve. • Ensure that the white target is located at the level of the "exostosis" (see diagram in the provided thermoforming instructions). - CONDITIONS OF USE: • During the first 3 uses, it is recommended to wear the orthotic for 2 hours only. • During subsequent uses, the orthotic can be worn for several hours. Joint pain may be felt during the first uses. • A second thermoforming to increase correction can be implemented (see provided thermoforming instructions). COMPOSITION: 52% thermoformable plastic, 28% polyamide/elastane fabric, 20% silicone. MAINTENANCE • Machine wash at 30°C in the provided washing net or hand wash (without rubbing). • Allow to dry naturally. Do not iron. Do not expose to heat (>50°C). PRESENTATION: Set of 3.
