There are actually 4 differences between the Kramas Campagnards and the Traditional Kramas: 1) Fully hand weaving for the Traditional Kramas and handwork as a supplement to the semi-automatic loom for the Kramas Campagnards, resulting in a difference in quality that can be felt to the touch. 2) The Traditional Kramas come with their palm-leaf case. 3) The Traditional Kramas are without fringe; the Kramas Campagnards have fringes. 4) For our Traditional Kramas, we work through a fair-trade association, and for our Kramas Campagnards through a family cooperative that is not seeking certification. In both cases, the weaving is done ethically.
