This guinomi style sake cup is by Kasama based ceramicist Kenichiro Inoue. While his work is often defined by colour, this monochrome series is expressive in Inoue’s hand drawn designs. By definition each design is unique, and are slightly graffiti-esque hieroglyphs on the surface of the work. In this case, Inoue has opted for fish motifs, with what appears to be a cat fish adorning the side of the piece A katakuchi decanter is sold separately here.
