Description
ORIGINALLY $182. Older than influence. Before it was a bowl, it was a seam in Balochistan — pale onyx laid down translucent and slow, threaded with amber, over a stretch of time the hand can't rush. The cradle of craft gave up this stone; a carver finished it on a wheel in San Diego, sealed it in food-grade beeswax, and left everything else the Earth had already decided. Set it where the room gathers. A footed bowl lifts what it holds — fruit, a coil of keys, nothing at all — and the lift is the point. It raises a piece of the ground to eye level and lets the light pass through the rim. Cream pools across the field; rust and amber run the seam; no two veins run the same. Live with it, don't maintain it. A wipe with a soft cloth, a beeswax pass when the surface wants it, and the stone keeps the patina of being used. The strata occurs once. Earth, unobscured. ⸻ Details * Hand-carved natural onyx, single-source Balochistan, finished in San Diego * Footed bowl form — raised pedestal base, wide shallow basin * Creamy translucent field with caramel and rust-amber veining * Sealed with food-grade beeswax — no resins, no dyes, no toxic finishes * Dimensions: 10 x 5" * Weight: 1 lbs * One-of-one: the photo is a guide to the veining, not a contract. No two pieces run the same. * Carries subtle imperfections — They affect neither use nor beauty, and the price reflects them: originally $182, now $92. ⸻ Crafted Without Compromise * Natural onyx, nothing reconstituted or dyed * Sealed in food-grade beeswax only * Hand-finished in San Diego, single-source from the cradle of craft * Recyclable packaging * Small-batch and pre-order — we make no more than is needed ⸻ Comes With * Recycled cotton tote
