The materials of Wooden's OFFCUTS collection use surplus wood from a carpentry shop - for example, the boxes are made from waste pieces of wooden beds. The wood used by Wooden is responsibly grown and certified, and using waste materials makes it even more responsible. The focus of the OFFCUTS product series is not only waste materials, but challenging the familiar ways of working in the craft industry. The wooden objects in the series are manufactured in accordance with the Digital Craftsmanship concept, i.e. as automatically as possible using machining robots and minimizing the amount of handwork. Thanks to the varying colors and wood grain patterns characteristic of the material, each object is still unique. The set includes two boxes of different sizes, which can be used as containers, for example, on the desk, in the kitchen or on the bathroom counters. The boxes can be used either together or separately.
