About Artyfactos
Hi, I am Angie - a Colombian Civil Engineer living in Boston. After moving to the United States in 1999, my sister and I would travel to Colombia to see our families and loved visiting the women artisans who created beautiful jewelry from local, all-natural materials. Returning to the States after the trip, the statement pieces we brought back received an unexpected number of compliments from our extended networks. Soon, my sister and I began collecting more and more of these statement pieces to give as gifts to our beloved friends and family members. Today at Artyfactos, love and social responsibility stand behind everything we do. We use safe, natural, and recycled materials to create each of our unique pieces, while employing women artisans in Latin America who have no chance of securing employment in the mainstream labor market in their own countries.
