Wholesale Polychrome faience owl figurine – green, red and gold – Central European handicraft – circa 1960–1970

It watches you. With its large, globular black eyes and bright red beak, this owl does not go unnoticed. This figurine is molded in faience and hand-painted with a vivid polychrome palette. The body is finished in red-orange with golden streaks imitating feathers, the head in dark green with gold highlights, the folded wings in green and red. The base imitates a rock in olive-green glaze flecked with gold. The orange feet appear beneath the base. A hand-drawn workshop mark appears on the back. Hollow piece, height 8 cm. Very good condition. Central European craftsmanship, 1960s–1970s, production exported to Western Europe. On a shelf, a desk, or a windowsill, this owl brings a touch of color and whimsy. It fits into a vintage, folk, or simply curious decor.
