About Marie Martin ceramics

Based in Valencia (Spain), city well known for its ceramic heritage, I mostly work with shops in the US and in Europe. You can find me at Maison&Objet every year in the Craft section, and the Révélations biennal fair at the Grand Palais in Paris. You can also find me in the Homo Faber artisans guide. Growing up in the French Alps in a warm house of 5, my earliest memory is a sheep transhumance stopping right next to my house. At age 10, I receive a pottery wheel with batteries for Christmas but it’s so messy that my mother hardly ever let me use it. 15 years later, I leave Europe to China and jump back into ceramic. I haven’t stopped since then: learning the techniques in China for 8 years, followed by 4 years in San Francisco exploring materials and self-expression. Marie Martin Read their story
