Handmade double band adjustable bracelet with two real Rusco leaves plated in 24K Gold. Behind our studio grows a remarkable plant known locally as the Rusco tree. Each leaf is hand-picked depending on the piece we’re creating. Their natural differences are what make them so captivating—and what makes every piece we create truly one of a kind. Back in the studio, each leaf is gently cleaned and prepared. A delicate conductive wax is brushed onto its surface so that the leaf—still carrying every fine vein and texture—can receive metal. It is then submerged in a copper electroplating bath, where a fine layer of copper slowly forms around the leaf. This process preserves the organic form of the leaf while giving it a strong metallic foundation. Once this transformation is complete, the leaf is plated in luminous 24-karat gold or .925 sterling silver, turning a fleeting element of nature into a lasting work of art. The leaves are then carefully assembled into their final form. Each connection is soldered by hand, and the piece receives a final plating that creates a seamless finish, before being sealed and polished. Throughout every step, skilled artisans work slowly and by hand, honoring both the material and the craft.
