Wholesale Mutti Double Concentrated Tomato Paste Tube 4.5oz 12 Units

Doppio concentrato is where Mutti started: tomato paste was the first product Fratelli Mutti made near Parma in 1899, and in 1951 the company was the first to pack it in a tube. The paste is made only from 100% Italian tomatoes, never from by-products of other tomato processing, and is concentrated by vacuum evaporation at around 65°C to hold on to the fresh tomato flavor. Roughly 5.5 lb of fresh tomatoes go into every pound of paste, which shows in the dense texture, the deep red color and a sweet, rounded taste. A core pantry line for specialty grocery, Italian delis, gourmet retail and prepared-food counters, and an easy add for any account already selling Italian tomatoes. The tube-in-carton format is retail-ready, merchandises in the tomato and sauce set, and solves the half-used can that keeps home cooks from buying paste: squeeze what the recipe needs, recap and refrigerate. Cross-sells with Italian pasta, passata, peeled tomatoes, olive oil and grated cheese, and it is a steady repeat item once it is on the shelf.
