About the Artwork Scarlet macaws and blue-fronted Amazon parrots sit amongst stylised leaves and grape vines. The natural world was De Morgan’s inspiration, structured in repeating patterns and geometry, his anthropomorphic wildlife depicted as a moment in time. Affectionately known as his ‘Parrot Tile Panel’, produced in the new Sands End factory. This artwork shows the newer technique; no longer painting and firing each tile individually, but instead mounting and firing the tiles collectively.
