Designed in the elegant shape of a teardrop (“Shizuku”), it is made by combining different metals—aluminum, brass, and copper—through HIGHTEN’s advanced techniques of precision cutting, polishing, and unique “fitting” methods. While its form exudes the cool sophistication of metal, each piece is carefully hand-finished by artisans, bringing warmth and a human touch to the design. Over time, the copper and brass surfaces develop a natural patina, allowing the object to age beautifully and reveal new expressions with light and angle. Freshly harvested tea leaves from Sakai Plaza of Rikyu and Akiko were blended into a natural incense base by students of Osaka Prefectural Sakai Technical High School.
