Description
2-color risograph printed zine about one of my biggest inspirations: queer culture throughout time. Queer design is an endless well of inspiration for me, and thanks to the work of archivists, we’re able to look back on decades’ worth of it. This zine contains my recreations + iterations of some of my favorite designs, ranging from the 1960s to now and from DIY to iconic. 14 pages, staple bound, sunflower + fluorescent pink inks, cream text-weight paper. Printed @ Outlet PDX in an edition of 25. About risograph: "RISO prints are made with a Risograph printer. It looks like a photocopier, but works as a screenprinter; using rich spot colours and stencils to create tactile and vibrant prints, affordably and with little impact to our environment. Stencils are made specifically for each drum and are non transferable. One colour is printed at a time, and multicoloured prints are created by switching out drums, then over printing; passing the paper through the RISO again and again!" (risottostudio.com)
